This Privacy Policy applies to firesideguild.com and the Fireside Guild testing application. The service is operated by Fireside Guild. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to webproductions06@gmail.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account and tester information: display name, email address, password hash, tester request details, verification status, approval status, and invite history.
- Social sign-in information: when Google or Facebook is selected, the provider's unique account identifier, verified email status, display name, and profile image when supplied.
- Gameplay information: rooms, game actions, scores, ratings, achievements, saved progress, rule preferences, and fair-play records.
- Community information: profiles, clubs, friend requests, messages, chat, feedback, and moderation reports submitted through the service.
- Technical and usage information: session identifiers, security events, device or browser information made available by the request, page activity, and optional analytics or advertising measurements when enabled.
2. How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts and games, verify tester identity, review access requests, maintain scores and progress, support social and learning features, communicate service updates, prevent abuse, investigate technical problems, measure reliability, and improve Fireside Guild.
3. Email verification and social authentication
Email applicants must verify control of their email address before an administrator can approve them. Google and Facebook may confirm identity and email status for social sign-in. Fireside Guild never receives the user's password for those providers. Social sign-in does not bypass the administrator's tester-approval requirement.
4. When information is shared
Fireside Guild may share only the information needed with hosting, email-delivery, authentication, security, and analytics providers that help operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or preserve the security of the service. Fireside Guild does not sell personal information.
5. Advertising and analytics
The service may display sponsorships or advertisements outside active gameplay. Optional product analytics and sponsor-impression measurement are controlled through the member's privacy preferences when those features are available. Advertising partners may process information under their own policies. Fireside Guild does not permit real-money wagering through its games.
6. Cookies and sessions
Fireside Guild uses essential cookies or similar browser storage to keep members signed in, protect OAuth requests, remember interface preferences, and secure the service. Optional measurement technologies are used only when enabled and available.
7. Data retention and security
Information is retained for as long as needed to operate the account, maintain game and community records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent misuse. Administrative, technical, and access controls are used to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
Members may update available profile and consent settings inside the application. Requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, or questions about closing an account, may be sent to the contact email above. Some information may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate recordkeeping.
9. Children
Fireside Guild is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. A user who is under the age of legal majority where they live should use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the service develops. The effective date will be changed when a revision is published. Material changes may also be announced in the application or by email where appropriate.
